Welcome to Pray: Christian Prayer Tracker ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our iOS mobile application Pray: Christian Prayer Tracker (the "App").

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

Prayer Tracker stores the following information locally on your device:

• Prayer Items: Prayer titles, subtitles, icons, colors, and timestamps you create
• Prayer Entries: Records of when you prayed, including timestamps and optional notes
• Prayer Alarms: Prayer reminder times, durations, and notification preferences
• Statistics: Your prayer streaks, total check-ins, and activity history
• App Settings: Your preferences for notifications, calendar integration, and app behavior

Important: All of this data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and optionally synced to your private iCloud storage. We do not have access to this data, and it is not transmitted to our servers or any third parties.

2.2 Information We Do Not Collect

We explicitly do not collect:

• Personal identifiable information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data
• Analytics or usage statistics
• Device information beyond what iOS requires for app functionality
• The content of your prayers or prayer notes

2.3 Automatically Collected Information

We do not use analytics services or collect any automatically-generated usage data.

3. How We Use Your Information

The information stored locally on your device is used solely to:

• Display your prayer list and prayer history
• Send local notifications for prayer alarms
• Create optional calendar events for your prayer times
• Display prayer information in widgets and Live Activities
• Calculate prayer statistics and streaks

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Local Storage

All your prayer data is stored locally on your device using:

• SwiftData: Apple's secure data persistence framework
• App Group Container: Secure shared storage that allows the main app, widgets, and Live Activities to access your prayer data
• UserDefaults: For app preferences and settings

4.2 iCloud Sync (Optional)

Prayer Tracker offers optional iCloud sync using Apple's CloudKit framework to keep your prayer data synchronized across all your Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac).

• How it works: If you're signed into iCloud on your device, your prayer data will automatically sync to your private iCloud storage and appear on all your devices signed into the same iCloud account
• Privacy: Your data is stored in your private CloudKit container - we do not have access to it
• Control: You can disable iCloud sync by signing out of iCloud in iOS Settings
• Security: All data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple's CloudKit service

4.3 iCloud Backup

In addition to iCloud sync, if you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device, your prayer data may also be included in your device's iCloud backup. This is controlled by your iOS settings.

4.4 Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data:

• All data is stored using Apple's secure storage mechanisms
• App data is protected by iOS's built-in security features
• We do not transmit your prayer data over the internet

5. Permissions We Request

5.1 Notifications

Purpose: To send you local reminders for your prayer alarms at the times you schedule.

What we access: Permission to display notifications on your device.

What we don't do: We don't send push notifications from a server. All notifications are generated locally on your device.

5.2 Calendar Access (Optional)

Purpose: To create recurring calendar events for your prayer times if you choose to enable this feature.

What we access: Permission to create and manage events in your device's calendar.

What we don't do: We only create events you explicitly request. We don't read, modify, or delete other calendar events.

6. Third-Party Services

6.1 RevenueCat (In-App Purchases)

We use RevenueCat to process in-app purchases and subscriptions (when available). When you make a purchase:

• RevenueCat receives transaction information from Apple
• RevenueCat processes your purchase to verify subscription status
• RevenueCat's privacy policy governs how they handle this data: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy

We do not receive or store your payment information. All payment processing is handled securely by Apple.

6.2 Apple Services

The App uses standard iOS frameworks and services:

• App Store: For app distribution and in-app purchases
• CloudKit: For optional iCloud sync across your devices
• Notifications: For local prayer reminders
• Calendar: For optional calendar integration
• WidgetKit: For home screen widgets
• Live Activities: For Dynamic Island and Lock Screen prayer timers
• TipKit: For displaying helpful in-app tips and guidance

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to third parties. Your prayer data never leaves your device except:

• When synced to your private iCloud storage via CloudKit (if you're signed into iCloud)
• When included in your iCloud backup (if enabled in iOS settings)
• When you explicitly share statistics or content using iOS's share sheet

We do not have access to your iCloud data or backups. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, but since we don't collect your data, there's nothing to disclose.

8. Your Rights and Choices

8.1 Access and Control

You have complete control over your data:

• View Data: All your data is visible within the app
• Edit Data: You can edit or delete any prayer item, entry, or alarm at any time
• Export Data: You can export your prayer statistics using the app's sharing features

8.2 Delete Your Data

To permanently delete all your data:

1. Delete individual prayers, entries, or alarms within the app, OR
2. Delete the Prayer Tracker app from your device - this removes all locally stored data

If you've backed up your data to iCloud, you may need to manage backups separately through iOS Settings.

8.3 Manage Permissions

You can revoke permissions at any time:

• iCloud Sync: iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud (sign out to disable sync)
• Notifications: iOS Settings → Prayer Tracker → Notifications
• Calendar: iOS Settings → Prayer Tracker → Calendars

The app will notify you in Settings if you're not signed into iCloud and data sync is unavailable.

9. Children's Privacy

Pray: Christian Prayer Tracker does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not require user registration and does not collect personal information. Parents and guardians may use the app with or for their children, and all data remains local to the device.

10. International Users

Pray: Christian Prayer Tracker is developed and operated from Europe. Since all data is stored locally on your device and optionally in your private iCloud storage, data protection laws of your country or region apply. We do not transfer data internationally or to our servers.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do:

• We'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
• Material changes will be communicated through the app or App Store update notes
• Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy

12. Data Retention

Your prayer data is retained on your device (and in your private iCloud storage if sync is enabled) until you:

• Manually delete specific items within the app
• Delete the app from all your devices
• Restore your device without restoring from backup
• Sign out of iCloud and delete local data

We do not have access to your data and cannot delete it remotely. If you use iCloud sync, your data will remain in your private iCloud storage until deleted from all devices or until you manage your iCloud storage directly.

14. California Privacy Rights

Under California's "Shine the Light" law, California residents may request information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties. Since we do not collect or share personal information, there is no information to disclose.

15. European Users (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right to Access: All your data is accessible within the app
• Right to Rectification: You can edit your data at any time
• Right to Erasure: You can delete your data by deleting items or uninstalling the app
• Right to Data Portability: You can export your statistics

Since all data is stored locally, you exercise these rights directly through the app.
